In a fast moving market place, you need to choose the right partner… The broadband market refuses to slow down – or to get simpler to understand. So it’s important that any organisation seeking to offer end-users a compelling reason to sign up and then, importantly, stay loyal, has to be careful who they work with now and into the future. Our first Engage Live webcast was a 30 minute debate programme, that tackled this challenging subject head on. Hosted by James Bellini (ex-Money Programme and Newsnight presenter) the programme outlined the state of the marketplace through a fascinating interview with Steve King of Redbox. Steve is a senior analyst with the company that specialises in studying the telecoms business and dispensing valuable advice to organisations of all shapes and sizes.
CONTENT OVERVIEW
James pressed Steve on the state of the market – it’s in a state of constant flux – and then asked him to detail the findings of Redbox’s research into the current needs of ISPs. Steve stressed that ISPs were keen to find partners that could deliver not only on price, but also in terms of products, service and support, speeds and systems, and, of course, reputation. Steve also pointed out that BT Wholesale scored well in most areas, but that, sometimes, the perception in the marketplace was that the LLU operators could be more agile in terms of their offering. James then turned to BT’s Bill Holdford, and Guy Bradshaw, and challenged them to give viewers compelling reasons choose BT Wholesale, and they pointed out that on all points BT Wholesale felt it could deliver right now.
