BT Wholesale customers can now save time and keep right up to date with the latest news and additions to btwholesale.com and btwholesale-engage.com as they happen, with the launch of a new BT Wholesale RSS Reader tool.
Portfolio Communications Manager at BT Wholesale, Catherine Gorringe, explains: "We appreciate that customers don't have the time to visit different web pages to find out what's new and important to them. So this software tool simply does the job."
Customisation is one of the key benefits of the news feed. Users can specify their main topics or products of interest, confident that they will then only get alerts when relevant fresh content appears on the main BT Wholesale and the BT Wholesale Engage multimedia portal.
Simplicity of use was a critical factor in the tool’s design. Catherine continues: "The Reader is easy to install and runs automatically whenever you log on to your computer so you don’t even have to think about it."
Once installed, alerts are delivered as pop-ups containing a brief summary of what the news is about. You then have the option to follow the links to the right page immediately – or go back to them later. To streamline your news delivery even further, you can also plug the BT Wholesale RSS Reader into other Readers you may use – BBC News, for example. That way you can have all your vital information sources in one place.
The new RSS Reader is another example of BT Wholesale’s ongoing commitment to keeping customers better informed and through a growing choice of communications channels. It follows the addition of a Google search engine to the btwholesale.com site at the end of 2006 and the launch of the Engage multimedia portal early in 2007.
With the new reader on board, Engage will be working harder than ever for customers as it delivers the latest industry and market news, research reports, webcasts, event replays, product updates and essential links.
