BT has designed a brandable Public Domain WiFi service that gives operators access to new revenues and communities. This is fully hosted on the BT network, and enables operators to offer their customers access to high speed WiFi from all of BT’s Openzone hotspots across the UK. These hotspots could provide complementary coverage to the operators’ 3G networks, plus additional revenues from the WiFi-enabled devices used by gamers and enterprises.

EXPLORING THE SOLUTIONS

BT Wholesale Openzone enables operators to offer customers a branded, remote, wireless broadband Internet access service at prime access points throughout the UK. As this is a managed service, operators can purchase Openzone minutes at a wholesale rate and resell them to customers based on a desired tariff.
